Data Infrastructure Engineer – Remote

About the role

We are seeking a Data Infrastructure Engineer to design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines and infrastructure for a global software development leader. This full‑time remote position focuses on delivering high‑quality data solutions that enable business insights and decision‑making.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and optimise data pipelines for extracting, transforming, and loading large datasets.
• Implement and maintain data warehouses and data lakes to support analytical and operational reporting.
• Collaborate with data scientists and analysts to ensure data accessibility, integrity, and usability.
• Monitor pipeline performance, troubleshoot issues, and ensure reliability and efficiency.
• Document data architecture, processes, and standards for team reference and compliance.

Required profile

• Proficiency in SQL and experience with both relational and NoSQL databases.
• Hands‑on experience with ETL/ELT tools such as Airflow, Spark, or comparable frameworks.
• Strong understanding of data modelling and warehouse design principles.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure) for data infrastructure.
• Excellent problem‑solving skills with a focus on scalability and performance.
