Design Engineer (Remote)

About the role

We are seeking a Manufacturing Design Engineer to work remotely on a full‑time basis. The position focuses on creating and optimizing precision components using FreeCAD, translating technical specifications into production‑ready 3D models and documentation.

Key responsibilities

• Design and model mechanical components in FreeCAD for manufacturing applications.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to verify design feasibility and manufacturability.
• Update and improve existing designs based on feedback from production and engineering.
• Generate and maintain accurate technical drawings, bills of materials, and other documentation.
• Conduct design reviews to identify manufacturing challenges and propose solutions.

Required profile

• Proficiency in FreeCAD for parametric 3D modeling.
• Solid understanding of mechanical design principles and manufacturing processes.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications.
• Knowledge of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing) standards.
• Familiarity with CAD file formats and data exchange between systems.
