Electrical Systems Specialist – Remote Contract

About the role

We are seeking an Electrical Systems Specialist to work remotely on a contract basis for a leading engineering services firm. The specialist will oversee electrical system installations, perform field diagnostics, and ensure compliance with safety standards across multiple client sites.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct on‑site inspections and diagnostics of electrical systems to identify malfunctions or inefficiencies.
• Coordinate with cross‑functional teams to plan and execute system upgrades or repairs.
• Maintain strict adherence to electrical codes, NFPA 70E, OSHA regulations, and other safety protocols during all field activities.
• Document technical findings, maintenance logs, and compliance reports for internal and client review.
• Troubleshoot complex electrical issues in industrial or commercial environments using specialized testing equipment.

Required profile

• Proven experience with electrical system diagnostics and field operations in industrial or commercial settings.
• Ability to travel to client sites, including occasional overnight stays.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety and regulatory compliance.

Required skills

• Reading and interpreting electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals.
• Knowledge of NFPA 70E, OSHA, and local electrical safety regulations.
• Hands‑on proficiency with multimeters, oscilloscopes, and thermal imaging devices.
