Engineering Manager – Karachi

About the role

Dubizzle Labs is expanding its engineering hub in Karachi and is looking for an experienced Engineering Manager to lead a high‑performing technical team. You will be responsible for delivering world‑class, cloud‑native products that support the rapid growth of the business across multiple countries.

Key responsibilities

• Architect, design, and develop scalable cloud software applications.
• Collaborate with Product, Infrastructure, Design, UX, CLM and Strategy teams to ensure high‑quality delivery.
• Enforce agile practices such as test‑driven development, continuous integration and test automation.
• Work with offshore teams to resolve architectural and delivery challenges.
• Prioritise technical backlog, balance immediate needs with long‑term roadmap.
• Analyse and remediate production incidents, embed fault tolerance and operational readiness.
• Own non‑functional requirements, guide architectural direction, and manage technical debt.
• Mentor and grow engineers, hire top talent, and foster a culture of engineering excellence.
• Ensure security standards across platforms and infrastructure.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field.
• 10+ years of software development experience (server/client side).
• Minimum 3 years in a management role with people‑performance responsibilities.
• Proven ability to lead technical teams and act as both project and product manager.
• Strong understanding of scalability, high‑availability systems and live production operations.
