Field Legal Officer - Banking Recovery

About the role

A bank is looking for a legally qualified professional to join its Legal Department as Field Legal Officer. The role supports the Business & Recovery Team by providing legal assistance in field operations, coordinating with law enforcement agencies and representing the Bank in courts, police stations and other law enforcement authorities across districts of Punjab. The placement region is Lahore.

Key responsibilities

• Provide full legal support to the Recovery and Business Collections Team during field recovery operations, accompanying Recovery Field Officers to police stations, courts and law enforcement offices in assigned districts.
• Liaise with local law enforcement agencies to facilitate legal action against defaulters or non-compliant borrowers.
• Draft and file legal documents, complaints and applications, and help prepare case files for litigation.
• Attend court hearings on behalf of the Bank when required.
• Ensure legal compliance during recovery activities and field visits.
• Maintain proper documentation and reports on legal field activity.

Required profile

• LLB from an HEC-recognized university.
• Registered Advocate with a valid license to practice in Punjab.
• 1-3 years of legal practice preferred, especially in litigation or banking/recovery matters; fresh graduates with strong interest may also apply.
• Willingness to travel extensively in rural areas of the assigned regions of Punjab.
