Finance Manager – Country Office (Islamabad)

About the role

The Finance Manager will lead the finance function of Nutrition International’s Country Office in Islamabad, ensuring accurate, transparent and timely financial operations. Reporting to the Country Director, the role safeguards resources, maintains compliance with donors and government regulations, and supports strategic decision‑making through robust financial analysis.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the preparation, consolidation and monitoring of annual and quarterly operational and program budgets, including donor proposals and grant re‑alignments.
• Analyse budget versus actual performance, produce variance reports and manage quarterly cash‑flow forecasts and annual spending plans.
• Provide proactive financial analysis and advice on budget utilisation, burn rate, funding gaps and cost‑effectiveness to the Country Director and programme teams.
• Ensure timely and accurate financial, management and donor reporting in line with organisational policies and statutory requirements.
• Maintain a strong internal control environment, oversee statutory, donor, procurement and contracting compliance.
• Lead the corporate services team and act as the primary liaison with regional and HQ finance functions.

Required profile

• Proven experience managing finance functions in an international NGO or development context.
• Strong knowledge of budgeting, financial reporting, cash‑flow management and donor compliance.
• Excellent analytical abilities and capacity to provide strategic financial advice to senior management.
• Demonstrated leadership skills with experience supervising a finance team.
