About the role
The Group Chief Inclusive Development (SEVP) will lead the bank’s inclusive development initiatives, overseeing SME, agriculture, commercial and micro‑finance portfolios while driving sustainable and green finance strategies across the institution.
Key responsibilities
- Lead government‑backed SME, agriculture and program‑based lending initiatives, designing financing solutions that support economic growth.
- Implement the bank’s Green Banking, ESG and Sustainable Finance strategy in line with SBP guidelines and international best practices.
- Develop and promote sustainable finance and green lending programmes, including renewable energy, climate‑smart agriculture and financial inclusion.
- Integrate ESG and climate risk considerations into credit, investment and operational frameworks, ensuring regulatory compliance and reporting.
- Establish strategic partnerships with regulators, DFIs, donors and development organisations to advance sustainability and inclusive development.
- Provide strategic leadership to the Inclusive Development Group, aligning its divisions with the bank’s vision and achieving business targets and portfolio quality.
- Supervise divisional heads in business planning, product development and execution to expand the bank’s financial inclusion footprint.
- Represent the IDG in board committees and senior management forums, and participate in executive management committees.
Required profile
- Maximum age 57 at application deadline.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, Management or related field; Master’s degree or certifications in Development Finance, Inclusive Finance, Sustainable Finance, SME, Agricultural Finance preferred.
- At least 18 years of experience, with 12 years in banking or financial sector, including 8 years as Head of SME/Agri/Commercial or 5 years as Head of Retail Banking.
- Proven leadership in sustainability, green finance and financial inclusion initiatives, with experience engaging DFIs and regulators.
- Strong understanding of SME, agriculture, micro‑finance and inclusive banking within a regulated environment.
- Excellent communication, negotiation and stakeholder management skills, and a high integrity governance mindset.
