About the role
A skilled and experienced Halwai is sought to join the culinary team at Defence Raya Golf & Country Club in Lahore. The role involves preparing traditional Pakistani sweets, desserts and confections to the highest standards of taste and presentation for members and guests.
Key responsibilities
- Prepare a variety of traditional sweets (mithai), desserts and confections
- Maintain authentic recipes and ensure consistent taste and quality
- Manage inventory of ingredients such as khoya, ghee, sugar and dry fruits
- Ensure hygiene, sanitation and food safety standards in the sweet section
- Coordinate with the kitchen team on daily dessert requirements and special events
Required profile
- Proven experience as a Halwai or in a professional sweet/dessert kitchen
- Strong knowledge of traditional Pakistani and subcontinental sweets
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Food hygiene certification is a plus
