Chief Engineer - High-Rise Hotel

About the role

A 4-star, 19-floor high-rise hotel in Lahore is looking for an experienced Chief Engineer to take full ownership of its engineering and maintenance function, keeping all systems safe, efficient and reliable. The salary is negotiable depending on experience.

Key responsibilities

• Own hotel engineering and maintenance operations, covering HVAC, electrical, plumbing, elevators, generators and fire and life safety systems
• Run preventive maintenance programmes to minimise downtime and extend equipment life
• Lead, train and supervise the engineering team
• Oversee energy management and find cost-saving opportunities
• Ensure compliance with safety, health and building codes, with special attention to high-rise systems
• Control the engineering department budget
• Handle emergency maintenance with minimal disruption to guests

Required profile

• Electrical or mechanical engineering degree from a reputable university (preferred)
• 8-10+ years of engineering or maintenance experience, including high-rise or large-scale facilities
• Experience in a 3, 4 or 5-star hotel preferred; pharmaceutical or hospital facility engineering experience also considered

Required skills

• Strong knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing and fire and life safety systems
• Preventive maintenance planning and energy management
