Head of Remittance & FI

About the role

The Head of Remittance & FI leads the bank’s remittance business and manages relationships with financial institutions worldwide. This senior position bridges Mashreq Bank Pakistan with global partners to expand cross‑border services, supporting the Non‑Resident Pakistan (NRP) and Roshan Digital Account (RDA) initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute strategies to grow remittance volumes, strengthen partnerships, and open new corridors.
• Maintain relationships with the central bank, local and international financial institutions, and oversee KYC onboarding.
• Own the remittance P&L, annual budget, cost model and margin targets, driving revenue growth and cost efficiency.
• Negotiate and manage legal and operational documentation, including Repo, ISDA, and Islamic finance agreements.
• Coordinate credit reviews, limit renewals, and cross‑selling opportunities across Treasury, Trade, Remittance and Islamic Banking.
• Collaborate with IT/Digital teams for platform integration and with Treasury for competitive FX pricing.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and effective transaction monitoring.

Required profile

• Minimum 10 years of experience in a bank’s FI and remittance function.
• Bachelor’s degree required; master’s degree in Finance or related field preferred.
• Strong understanding of financial regulations, KYC, and risk management frameworks.
• Proven track record in P&L ownership, budget management and strategic partnership development.
