HR Assistant – People Operations

About the role

Chainfore is building its People function from the ground up and seeks a proactive HR Assistant to support day-to-day operations for its growing engineering team in Lahore. Working closely with the Head of People & Culture, you will ensure hiring, onboarding and employee experience run smoothly.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate the full recruitment cycle, including sourcing, screening on Zoho Recruit and interview scheduling.
• Manage end-to-end onboarding: issue offer letters, collect documentation, arrange equipment and design the day-one experience.
• Maintain accurate employee records, contracts, leave trackers and HR documentation.
• Support payroll preparation, attendance tracking and benefits administration in partnership with Finance.
• Organise engagement initiatives such as birthdays, team events and recognition programs.
• Serve as the first point of contact for routine employee queries.

Required profile

• 1–3 years of experience in HR, recruitment coordination or people operations, preferably in IT services or technology.
• Strong written and spoken English for drafting offer letters and interacting with international stakeholders.
• Highly organized with a bias for spreadsheets, trackers and follow-through.
• Discreet handling of confidential information and a people-first attitude.
• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or a related field.

Required skills

• Experience with applicant tracking systems (ATS) and HR information systems (HRIS), specifically Zoho Recruit.
