Mechanical Design Engineer (Remote)

About the role

We are looking for a Mechanical Design Engineer to work remotely on the creation of detailed CAD models and manufacturing drawings for custom mechanical components. The position supports a global manufacturing leader and focuses on delivering high‑quality designs that meet production requirements and industry standards.

Key responsibilities

• Develop 3D models and 2D drawings for mechanical parts using FreeCAD.
• Optimize designs for manufacturability, cost efficiency, and performance.
• Collaborate with manufacturing teams to resolve design issues and improve processes.
• Conduct design reviews and ensure compliance with engineering standards and project specifications.
• Prepare and maintain technical documentation, including BOMs and engineering change orders.

Required profile

• Proficiency in FreeCAD for parametric modeling and drafting.
• Strong understanding of mechanical design principles and manufacturing processes.
• Experience with GD&T and ISO standards.
• Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications.
• Familiarity with sheet metal design, machining, and assembly processes.
