Mechanical Design Engineer (Remote)

About the role

We are looking for a Mechanical Design Engineer to create detailed CAD models and manufacturing drawings for custom mechanical components. This fully remote contract position allows you to work from anywhere while collaborating with cross‑functional teams to ensure designs meet production requirements and industry standards.

Key responsibilities

• Design and develop 3D models and 2D drawings for mechanical components using FreeCAD.
• Optimize designs for manufacturability, cost efficiency, and performance.
• Collaborate closely with manufacturing teams to resolve design issues and improve production processes.
• Conduct design reviews and ensure compliance with engineering standards and project specifications.
• Prepare and maintain technical documentation, including bills of materials and engineering change orders.

Required profile

• Strong understanding of mechanical design principles and manufacturing processes.
• Experience interpreting technical drawings and specifications.
• Familiarity with sheet metal design, machining, and assembly processes.

Required skills

• FreeCAD for parametric modeling and drafting.
• GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing).
