Mechanical Engineering Specialist (Remote)

About the role

We are seeking a Mechanical Engineering Specialist to work remotely on a contract basis for a global engineering services leader. The role focuses on designing and optimizing mechanical systems used in production environments, collaborating with cross‑functional teams to ensure reliability and performance.

Key responsibilities

• Design and develop mechanical components and assemblies using CAD software.
• Conduct finite element analysis (FEA) and computational fluid dynamics (CFD) simulations.
• Prepare detailed engineering drawings and specifications for manufacturing.
• Perform tolerance analysis and ensure compliance with industry standards.
• Troubleshoot existing mechanical systems and recommend improvements.

Required profile

• Proficiency with CAD tools such as SolidWorks or AutoCAD.
• Experience performing FEA and CFD simulations.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical design principles and manufacturing processes.
• Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications.
• Attention to detail and strong problem‑solving skills.
