Mechanical Engineering Specialist (Remote)

About the role

We are seeking a Mechanical Engineering Specialist to join a global engineering services leader on a contract basis. The position is fully remote, allowing you to work from anywhere while collaborating with cross‑functional teams to design and optimise mechanical systems for production environments.

Key responsibilities

• Design and develop mechanical components and assemblies using CAD tools.
• Perform finite element analysis (FEA) and computational fluid dynamics (CFD) simulations.
• Create detailed engineering drawings and manufacturing specifications.
• Conduct tolerance analysis and ensure compliance with industry standards.
• Troubleshoot existing mechanical systems and recommend improvements.

Required profile

• Proficiency with CAD software such as SolidWorks or AutoCAD.
• Hands‑on experience in FEA and CFD simulations.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical design principles and manufacturing processes.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
• Excellent problem‑solving skills and attention to detail.
