MEP Engineer – Quality Assurance & Inspection

About the role

Bureau Veritas is seeking an MEP Engineer to lead quality assurance, inspection and supervision of mechanical, electrical and plumbing installations. The role ensures compliance with international codes, local authority requirements and the company’s quality system while supporting safe and efficient project delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise MEP installation and design, conducting QC visual inspections and material conformity checks according to approved ITPs and method statements.
• Perform third‑party Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT) and Site Acceptance Tests (SAT), witness commissioning and verify compliance with NFPA, ASHRAE and other standards.
• Prepare weekly and monthly QA/QC reports, track NCRs/SDRs and maintain communication with clients and internal teams.
• Conduct GAP analysis of MEP and firefighting systems, generate snagging lists and follow up corrective actions to achieve client satisfaction.
• Ensure adherence to local authority regulations such as Civil Defence and LDA requirements.

Required profile

• Mechanical or Electrical Engineering degree.
• Minimum 3 years experience in MEP design, QA/QC engineering or site supervision.
• Strong knowledge of international codes (BS, ASME, ASHRAE, NFPA, IEC) and ability to interpret inspection results.
• Familiarity with local authority requirements and ability to conduct material conformity inspections.
• Proven ability to produce detailed inspection reports and manage non‑conformities.

Required skills

• ISO 9001 internal audit and Quality Management System procedures.
• Inspection techniques, FAT/SAT procedures, ITP execution.
• Technical knowledge of TAB for air and liquid systems, GAP analysis.
• Material conformity inspection, NCR/SDR tracking and reporting.
