Part‑Time Patent Attorney / Lawyer (Hybrid)

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Patent Attorney / Patent Lawyer to join our Karachi office on a flexible, part‑time basis. The role offers on‑call and project‑based work, allowing you to manage your own schedule while contributing to a dynamic patent practice.

Key responsibilities

• Draft and prosecute patent applications in pharma, biotech, engineering, or computer science.
• Conduct prior‑art, patentability, freedom‑to‑operate, and clearance searches using specialized databases.
• Prepare and file responses to office actions and examination reports.
• Correspond with clients and the Pakistan Patent Office, including follow‑ups and in‑person visits when required.
• File applications in international jurisdictions such as USPTO, EPO, and SIPO where applicable.
• Manage assignments independently, meet deadlines, and deliver project‑based results.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of hands‑on patent drafting and prosecution experience.
• Proven track record of patent applications progressing to publication, preferably to grant.
• Ability to understand technical disclosures and collaborate with inventors, researchers, and clients.
• Self‑motivated, able to work independently and handle hybrid on‑site requirements.
