Power BI Developer – Microsoft Fabric

About the role

We are building a workforce, safety and project performance analytics platform on Microsoft Fabric. The role combines data‑lake engineering with end‑to‑end Power BI development, from raw ADLS Gen2 ingestion to executive dashboards.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement the Direct Lake semantic model over the Gold lakehouse, including star schema, conformed dimensions and correct grain.
• Author and optimise DAX for ~51 KPIs, implement calculation groups, and enforce row‑level security.
• Build and maintain a 12‑page Power BI app with executive RAG board, drill‑through pages and mobile‑friendly layouts.
• Manage workspaces, deployment pipelines (Dev/Test/Prod) and version control for the Power BI solution.
• Develop and maintain Silver and Gold lakehouses, handling de‑duplication, conformance and cross‑walk logic.
• Configure OneLake shortcuts to ADLS Gen2, manage schema drift and manifest changes.
• Set up Fabric Activator alerts for critical events and route them to Teams and email.
• Monitor refresh health, troubleshoot capacity issues and document model lineage and runbooks.

Required profile

• Strong experience building Power BI semantic models and DAX calculations.
• Hands‑on expertise with Microsoft Fabric, Data Lakehouse concepts and ADLS Gen2.
• Ability to design executive‑level dashboards with clear UX and accessibility.
• Experience implementing row‑level security and performance tuning using DAX Studio or Power BI Performance Analyzer.
