Project Judicial and ADR Specialist

About the role

The Project Judicial and Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) Specialist will provide technical support for UNDP’s Rule of Law Programme in Pakistan. Reporting to the Team Lead – Programme Specialist, the role focuses on judicial reform, access to justice and mediation initiatives across federal and provincial levels.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the technical design, planning and implementation of interventions related to judicial reform, capacity development, case‑flow management, digital justice and ADR mechanisms.
• Provide policy and technical advice to justice‑sector institutions on improving procedures, institutional arrangements and gender‑responsive, survivor‑centred services.
• Maintain effective engagement with High Courts, district judiciary, judicial academies, bar councils, ADR bodies and relevant government departments to ensure coherent programme delivery.
• Contribute to institutional needs assessments, analytical studies, policy documents and standard operating procedures that promote people‑centred, inclusive justice services.

Required profile

• Demonstrated experience in judicial reform, access‑to‑justice initiatives or alternative dispute resolution within a rule‑of‑law context.
• Strong understanding of gender‑responsive and survivor‑centred approaches to justice and security services.
• Proven ability to work with a wide range of stakeholders, including judiciary, law enforcement, civil society and academia.
