About the role

We are seeking a skilled Backend Software Developer to join a global technology leader on a contract basis. The position is fully remote, allowing you to work from anywhere while delivering high‑quality, scalable software solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain backend applications using best‑in‑class coding and architectural practices.
• Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code that adheres to industry standards.
• Collaborate with product managers, designers, and fellow engineers to define requirements and deliver robust solutions.
• Debug, troubleshoot, and optimise system performance and reliability.
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to architectural decisions.

Required profile

• Strong problem‑solving abilities and experience writing optimized, scalable code.
• Proven ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a remote environment.
• Excellent communication skills for collaboration across different time zones.

Required skills

• Proficiency in at least one modern programming language such as Java, Python, or JavaScript.
• Experience with version control systems, preferably Git.
• Familiarity with software development frameworks, libraries, and debugging tools.
