Sales Tax Manager

About the role

The Sales Tax Manager will lead the preparation, filing and compliance of sales tax obligations across Pakistan. This role ensures accurate tax reporting, liaises with senior management and tax consultants, and resolves cross‑functional issues.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and file monthly and annual Sales Tax Returns.
• Prepare and file monthly Provincial Sales Tax Returns for Punjab Revenue Authority and Sindh Revenue Board.
• Integrate POS systems of Metro tills with the FBR web portal for automatic invoice upload.
• Update senior management daily on sales tax changes from FBR, PRA and SRB.
• Resolve day‑to‑day cross‑functional and customer issues.
• Check sales tax treatment of articles in MMS.
• Prepare monthly reports on input/output, zero‑rated and exempt purchases and sales.
• Reconcile sales, purchases, input tax and output tax of MMS with SAP.
• Respond to FBR notices and follow up on sales tax audits.
• Liaise with sales tax consultants for routine matters and prepare Annex‑A, B, C.
• Identify non‑active suppliers and communicate with relevant buyers.
• Handle weekly PRA/SRB GST withholding and invoice‑wise details.
• Maintain customer and supplier databases and perform other miscellaneous assignments as required.

Required profile

• ACCA, ACMA, CA (Part Qualified) or MBA Finance.
• Minimum ten years of experience handling sales tax.

Required skills

• SAP for reconciliation and reporting.
• POS integration with the FBR web portal.
