Senior Accountant (Onsite, Lahore)

About the role

We are seeking a senior accountant to join our finance team in Lahore. The role is onsite and focuses on UK‑based accounting and tax compliance, supporting both corporate and individual clients.

Key responsibilities

• Process financial transactions, maintain the general ledger, and reconcile accounts payable and receivable.
• Prepare and submit VAT returns, manage VAT calculations, and assist in the preparation of financial statements.
• Collaborate with the tax team to deliver accurate corporate and individual tax returns on time.
• Review, mentor, and guide junior staff on accounting processes, VAT calculations, and tax return preparation.
• Create financial reports, analyse trends, and provide actionable insights to management.
• Stay up‑to‑date with accounting principles, UK tax regulations, and industry best practices.

Required profile

• ACCA‑qualified accountant with 4‑5 years of experience, preferably working remotely for a UK‑based firm.
• Strong understanding of VAT, UK tax regulations, and core accounting principles.
• Excellent analytical, problem‑solving, and communication skills.
• Proactive, results‑oriented team player with a positive attitude.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Xero, QuickBooks, FreeAgent, VTT+, and TaxCalc.
• Experience in data migration (preferred).
• Familiarity with video‑conferencing and collaboration tools for remote work (preferred).
