Senior Consultant – Data Architecture & Engineering

About the role

Join EY's AI Hub as a Senior Consultant focused on data architecture advisory. You will help clients design and deliver modern data platforms that enable data‑driven transformation across industries in Pakistan.

Key responsibilities

• Manage up to two projects simultaneously, working with senior business leaders to ensure delivery quality, risk management, and timeline adherence.
• Assess current‑state architecture, identify gaps, and define improvement roadmaps covering data governance, protection, migration, and cloud enablement.
• Contribute to business development by identifying opportunities and supporting market growth.
• Lead delivery across project lifecycle phases, supervise teams, and manage competing priorities.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree with 5+ years of relevant experience, preferably in a global consulting firm.
• Proven ability to manage and supervise teams of at least four people through all project phases.
• Industry expertise in one or more domains such as Government, Healthcare, Financial Services, Retail, or Telecom.
• Willingness to travel on short notice.

Required skills

• Strong proficiency in SQL and working knowledge of NoSQL concepts.
• Experience with Hive in big‑data environments.
• Hands‑on familiarity with ETL/ELT design and delivery, especially Informatica implementations.
• Experience with big‑data platforms such as Cloudera, Databricks and cloud platforms Azure or AWS.
• Knowledge of data management frameworks, metadata management, and end‑to‑end data lineage.
