Senior DevOps Engineer (DataOps)

About the role

The Senior DevOps Engineer (DataOps) will own platform reliability and infrastructure operations for a data‑centric environment. You will orchestrate Kubernetes clusters, manage container workloads, and ensure CI/CD pipelines meet SLA requirements for all data pipelines.

Key responsibilities

• Operate and harden the Kubernetes environment hosting data pipeline workloads.
• Manage Docker container builds, registries, and deployment patterns for data engineering and ML teams.
• Build and maintain GitLab CI/CD pipelines for automated testing, building, and deployment of data jobs.
• Monitor Apache Airflow DAG execution, enforce pipeline SLAs, and triage breaches quickly.
• Implement observability, logging, monitoring, and alerting across the containerized data platform.
• Manage infrastructure‑as‑code for provisioning and scaling cluster resources.
• Partner with Data Engineers and MLOps to standardize deployment patterns for data and ML workloads.
• Lead incident response and root‑cause analysis for platform reliability issues.

Required profile

• 6+ years of experience in DevOps, DataOps, or Platform Engineering with deep Kubernetes expertise.
• Strong hands‑on Docker and container orchestration experience in production.
• Proven track record building and maintaining GitLab CI/CD pipelines (GitOps a plus).
• Experience operating Apache Airflow at the infrastructure level, including scaling and SLA monitoring.
• Solid scripting skills in Python, Bash, or Go for automation.
• Solid Linux fundamentals and comfort working across cloud and on‑premise environments.
