Senior Machine Learning Engineer

About the role

Nysonian is looking for an automation engineer who enjoys building end‑to‑end AI solutions, not just configuring them. You will develop agentic AI systems that make decisions, take actions, and integrate with real‑world workflows.

Key responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain agentic workflows that read customer data and execute actions such as refunds, order updates, and escalations.
• Write, test, and refine prompts, anticipating hallucinations and over‑confidence, and design mitigations.
• Develop and scale backend endpoints using FastAPI, Flask, or Django to serve AI services in production.
• Implement retrieval‑augmented generation (RAG), embeddings, and vector search to ground model responses in real data.
• Review and improve existing n8n automations and decide when to transition to code‑based solutions.
• Investigate and resolve incorrect agent outputs by tracing logs and executions.

Required profile

• Hands‑on experience with agentic AI concepts such as tool calling, multi‑step reasoning, memory, and orchestrating multiple agents.
• Practical use of at least one agent framework (LangChain, LangGraph, CrewAI, OpenAI/Anthropic SDKs).
• Solid backend development experience in Python with FastAPI, Flask, or Django.
• Understanding of LLM behavior, prompt engineering, and basic machine‑learning workflows.
• Demonstrated end‑to‑end project in this space (personal, hackathon, or professional).
