Junior Full Stack AI Engineer – Paid Internship to Full‑Time

About the role

DevForest builds AI SaaS products for international clients and ships new features every week. This position starts as a two‑month paid internship and can convert to a full‑time role once you meet a written performance bar. You will work onsite in Islamabad, collaborating directly with the founders across the entire technology stack.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and ship end‑to‑end features, including schema, API, frontend, and deployment.
• Implement AI‑driven functionality while monitoring latency and cost.
• Build authentication, billing, usage metering, and admin interfaces.
• Rapidly troubleshoot and resolve customer issues, owning the fix from start to finish.
• Deliver production‑ready code on a weekly cadence.

Required profile

• Have built and deployed a live product that real users (beyond classmates) can access.
• Demonstrated persistence: you launched, received bug reports, and shipped fixes.
• Hands‑on experience with the full stack – auth, database, and deployment – not just front‑end templates.
• Completed a personal project using an LLM API, even a small one.
• Curiosity, urgency, and ownership mindset.

Required skills

• TypeScript with React and Next.js.
• Node.js or Python with FastAPI.
• PostgreSQL and basic data modelling.
• Implementation of login/authentication flows.
• Experience integrating LLM APIs (e.g., Claude).
