Software Engineer - FinTech (Remote)

About the role

We are looking for a Software Engineer to join a leading financial services platform. The role is fully remote and focuses on building and maintaining scalable backend services that handle real‑time financial transactions for millions of users worldwide.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and optimise backend services for financial transaction processing.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to integrate third‑party financial APIs and payment gateways.
• Implement robust security measures to meet financial regulations and data‑privacy standards.
• Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code following engineering best practices.
• Troubleshoot and resolve production issues to minimise downtime and ensure system reliability.

Required profile

• Proficiency in Java, Python, or Go for backend development.
• Experience with financial transaction systems or payment processing.
• Strong understanding of distributed systems, microservices architecture, and API design.
• Familiarity with relational and NoSQL databases such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, or MongoDB.
• Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure) and containerisation technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Ability to write unit and integration tests to ensure code reliability.
• Experience with version control (Git) and CI/CD pipelines.
• Understanding of security best practices and financial compliance requirements.
