Software Engineer - Human Data Platforms (Remote)

About the role

We are seeking a Software Engineer to join a global leader in data infrastructure and analytics. The position is fully remote and focuses on building scalable platforms that ingest, process, and analyze human‑generated datasets. You will work closely with data scientists and analysts to ensure data quality and accessibility.

Key responsibilities

• Design, build, and optimise data pipelines for large‑scale human‑generated data.
• Develop and maintain backend services supporting real‑time and batch processing.
• Collaborate with data scientists and analysts to guarantee data integrity.
• Implement monitoring, logging, and alerting to ensure platform reliability.
• Contribute to architectural decisions that improve scalability and performance.

Required profile

• Strong proficiency in Python, Java, or Go for backend development.
• Experience with distributed systems such as Kafka or Apache Spark.
• Hands‑on knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure) for data infrastructure.
• Familiarity with SQL and NoSQL databases.
• Understanding of data governance, security, and compliance best practices.
• Experience with containerisation and orchestration tools like Docker and Kubernetes.
