Strategic Finance Manager

About the role

Soum is seeking a Strategic Finance Manager to lead financial planning, reporting, and analysis for its fast‑growing e‑commerce marketplace. This remote position works closely with the CFO and board to drive data‑backed decisions and support the company’s expansion across the MENA region.

Key responsibilities

• Build and maintain the annual operating budget and a rolling 13‑week cash‑flow forecast, updating it weekly.
• Own KPI dashboards for GMV, take rate, contribution margin, CAC and payback period, publishing weekly metrics with commentary.
• Conduct monthly spend reviews, identify variances and provide root‑cause analysis.
• Model unit economics for new initiatives, pricing and expansion opportunities using AI‑enabled scenario analysis.
• Prepare investor updates, board materials and fundraising models with sensitivity analysis.
• Support ad‑hoc finance requests from the CFO and board, and manage the Finance Analyst for reporting automation.

Required profile

• 3‑5 years of experience in Strategic Finance, FP&A, Corporate Finance, Investment Banking, Consulting or startup finance.
• Strong background in financial planning, forecasting, budgeting and cash‑flow management.
• Experience in fast‑moving startup environments, preferably in e‑commerce, marketplace or fintech.
• Independent ownership mindset with the ability to work remotely.
