Strategic Project Lead – PCB & AI Platforms (Remote)

About the role

We are seeking a Strategic Project Lead to drive end‑to‑end hardware development of PCB and AI platforms. The role is fully remote and involves coordinating cross‑functional teams from concept through production.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute project plans for PCB and embedded system designs, aligning with business objectives and technical feasibility.
• Lead collaboration between hardware engineers, firmware developers, and third‑party vendors to deliver high‑quality prototypes within budget.
• Manage PCB layout reviews, signal‑integrity analysis, and component selection to optimise performance and manufacturability.
• Establish and monitor KPIs for project progress, risk mitigation, and quality assurance.
• Present technical and business updates to stakeholders, including executive leadership, to secure approvals and resources.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or related field, or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 7 years of experience in PCB design and embedded systems development, with at least 3 years in a project leadership role.
• Proven ability to assess technical risks and propose mitigations while balancing cost, schedule, and performance.

Required skills

• PCB design tools: Altium Designer, KiCad or Cadence Allegro.
• Embedded firmware development in C/C++ and debugging with JTAG or logic analyzers.
• Knowledge of IPC‑2221, IPC‑A‑610, UL certification processes.
• Signal integrity, power integrity and thermal management expertise.
• Version control (Git) and hardware documentation tools (Confluence, Jira).
• Understanding of DFM, manufacturing processes and supply‑chain coordination.
