Supply Chain Specialist

About the role

The Supply Chain Specialist will ensure that the right materials are available in the right quantities at the right time, providing visibility over purchasing, inventory, production needs, suppliers and dispatch priorities. The role acts as the coordination hub between Sales, Warehouse, Production, Procurement and Management.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain daily and weekly material requirement plans.
• Coordinate production requirements based on confirmed customer orders and stock availability.
• Ensure raw material, packaging material and other inputs are available before scheduled production.
• Raise, maintain and follow up purchase orders.
• Coordinate with suppliers on prices, lead times, deliveries and shortages.
• Maintain trackers of open purchase orders, delayed supplies and material shortages.
• Monitor raw material, packaging material and finished‑goods inventory and maintain minimum/reorder levels.
• Identify slow‑moving, excess and dead inventory.
• Support urgent purchasing requirements and supplier negotiations.
• Maintain supplier performance records (price, quality, lead time, reliability).
• Coordinate dispatch priorities with Sales, Production and Warehouse.
• Prepare regular management reports on material shortages, open POs, critical stock and upcoming production needs.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, Operations or a related field.
• 2–5 years of relevant experience, preferably in manufacturing, FMCG, paper/tissue, packaging or industrial purchasing.

Required skills

• Strong Excel skills.
• Proficiency with ERP systems.
