System & Network Engineer (Level II)

About the role

The System & Network Engineer (Level II) will manage and maintain IT infrastructure for multiple client environments, ensuring reliable operation and security across on‑premises and cloud platforms. You will provide both Level 1 and Level 2 support, work with a variety of networking and server technologies, and help clients meet continuity and compliance goals.

Key responsibilities

• Administer client network devices (routers, switches, firewalls, wireless) from vendors such as Cisco, SonicWall, Palo Alto, Juniper, F5, HP and Aruba.
• Maintain Windows Server (2008‑2022) environments and virtualization platforms (VMWare, Hyper‑V).
• Support Microsoft 365, Active Directory and Azure services, including user and group management.
• Implement and manage VPN solutions (Cisco AnyConnect, Meraki, SonicWall, Fortinet) and firewall policies.
• Perform security monitoring, vulnerability scanning, patch management and assist with disaster‑recovery planning.
• Provide Level 1 and Level 2 technical support using remote tools and ticketing systems (ConnectWise, Kaseya, ServiceNow).
• Monitor system performance, generate reports on uptime, security incidents and overall health.
