Technical Associate Software Engineer

About the role

As a Technical Associate – Software Engineer you will join the Digital Transformation team, helping develop and enhance digital solutions that support project execution and business operations. You will work alongside experienced engineers, analysts and process experts to design, build and maintain applications for project management, resource planning, procurement, logistics, engineering progress tracking, quality management and EHS processes.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and enhance business applications supporting project execution, resource planning, procurement, logistics, engineering, quality management and EHS processes.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders to translate functional requirements into technical solutions.
• Participate in design, development, testing, deployment and maintenance of enterprise applications.
• Support automation and digitalization of business processes to improve operational efficiency.
• Create dashboards, reports and data‑driven solutions for decision‑making.
• Integrate systems with enterprise platforms, databases, APIs and external services.
• Troubleshoot, maintain and optimise existing applications for reliability, performance and scalability.
• Work within Agile development teams and adopt software engineering best practices.
• Collaborate with global teams on digital transformation initiatives.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology or a related field.
• 0–1 year of professional experience in software development; internships, academic projects or personal projects are welcomed.
• Exposure to enterprise application development or business process automation is an advantage.

Required skills

• Proficiency in at least one programming language such as Java, JavaScript, Python or C#.
• Understanding of object‑oriented programming, data structures and algorithms.
• Basic knowledge of SQL and relational databases.
• Familiarity with HTML, CSS and JavaScript for web development.
• Experience with REST APIs and version‑control tools like Git/GitHub.
• Basic understanding of cloud technologies (advantage).
• Awareness of AI agents, intelligent automation or system automation concepts (advantage).
