Solution Architect – Retail Banking (Pakistan)

About the role

The Solution Architect will design and review optimal solution approaches for Retail Banking Group initiatives, ensuring alignment with business requirements and the enterprise technology strategy. The role works across agile squads and waterfall‑managed systems of record, collaborating with product, engineering and technology teams to deliver scalable, value‑driven outcomes.

Key responsibilities

• Identify, design and drive solutions that meet evolving business needs while adhering to Enterprise Architecture standards.
• Guide engineering teams in building robust, scalable products, promoting API‑first and micro‑services architectures.
• Ensure non‑functional requirements such as performance, availability and security are embedded in all designs.
• Lead modernization initiatives, including adoption of external and internal APIs, open‑banking integrations and cloud‑native services.
• Maintain a technology radar for retail banking, recommending emerging trends and innovations.

Required profile

• 15+ years of application development experience, including at least 5 years in solution architecture.
• Strong background in banking technology and experience delivering retail‑digital and systems‑of‑record solutions.
• Proven ability to work with both agile squads and waterfall‑managed environments.
• Experience influencing senior stakeholders and challenging vendor or in‑house solutions to achieve optimal outcomes.
