Unit Head – Information Security & SaaS (AVP/VP)

About the role

The National Bank of Pakistan seeks a senior leader to head its Information Security and SaaS function. Reporting to the Wing Head of Digital Solution Governance & Regulatory Compliance, you will shape security strategy across the bank’s digital transformation initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute an Information Security and SaaS security strategy aligned with the bank’s digital banking, cloud adoption, and transformation roadmap.
• Lead security assessments for cloud platforms, SaaS solutions, digital banking systems, and third‑party integrations.
• Design, implement, and monitor security controls, ensuring continuous compliance and risk mitigation.
• Oversee risk assessment, control design, and security governance for digital channels and third‑party services.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to embed security best practices into product development and operations.

Required profile

• Minimum graduation; a master’s degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, IT, or Information Security is preferred.
• At least 6 years of experience in digital product development, information security, cyber security, or technology governance, preferably in banking or fintech.
• Minimum 1 year in a supervisory role managing digital product development, information security, cloud or SaaS security.
• Excellent communication, analytical, and problem‑solving abilities.

Required skills

• Proficiency with MS Office and related software.
• Strong understanding of digital banking architecture, APIs, and mobile/internet banking security controls.
• Knowledge of data classification, encryption standards, Data Loss Prevention (DLP), and secure data lifecycle management.
• Experience with cloud platforms and SaaS security governance.
