Virtual Medical Assistant (Medical Scribe) – Part‑Time

About the role

We are looking for a highly organized, detail‑oriented Virtual Medical Assistant to support a boutique menopause‑medicine practice. The role is fully remote, part‑time (approximately 30 hours per week), and focuses on live medical scribing, patient communication, scheduling, and administrative tasks.

Key responsibilities

• Perform live medical scribing during 1‑1.5 hour patient consultations, capturing symptoms, severity ratings, and clinical information using established EMR templates.
• Pre‑populate intake and follow‑up templates, review prior documentation, and manage three core visit workflows (Initial Intake, Lab Follow‑up, Regular Follow‑up).
• Handle patient communication via phone, text, and email; conduct pre‑screening calls, explain the cash‑pay model, and send education materials.
• Schedule, reschedule, and confirm appointments, manage reminder sequences, and reduce no‑shows.
• Coordinate upfront payments, communicate expectations, and maintain accurate payment records.
• Retrieve laboratory results from external portals, upload reports to the EMR, and ensure proper document organization.

Required profile

• Experienced medical scribe with a track record of accurate, timely documentation.
• Professional communication style and ability to interact warmly with patients.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow structured processes.
• Self‑motivated and able to work independently as an extension of the physician.

Required skills

• Electronic Medical Record (EMR) documentation.
