Virtual Medical Assistant – Medical Scribe & Patient Support

About the role

We are looking for a highly organized, detail‑oriented Virtual Medical Assistant to join a boutique menopause medicine practice. The role is part‑time, remote, and focuses on live medical scribing, patient communication, scheduling, and administrative support.

Key responsibilities

• Perform live medical scribing during 1–1.5 hour patient consultations, documenting symptoms, severity ratings, and clinical information using established EMR templates.
• Pre‑populate intake and follow‑up templates, review prior patient records, and become proficient in the practice’s three primary visit workflows.
• Manage patient communication via phone, text, and email; conduct pre‑screening calls, explain the cash‑pay model, and send education materials.
• Schedule, reschedule, and confirm appointments, handling reminder sequences to reduce no‑shows.
• Coordinate upfront payments, communicate expectations, and maintain accurate payment records.
• Access external lab portals, retrieve results, and upload reports into the EMR, ensuring proper document organization.

Required profile

• Experienced medical scribe with a strong attention to detail.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to follow structured processes accurately and work independently.
• Comfortable handling confidential patient information.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems and templates.

What we offer

• Part‑time remote work (approximately 30 hours per week, Monday‑Friday, 9 am‑3 pm).
• Hourly compensation of $5.
