Virtual Medical Scribe

About the role

Health & Virtuals is seeking a Virtual Medical Scribe to support healthcare providers across the United States. Working remotely, you will translate live or recorded patient encounters into accurate, structured clinical documentation within the electronic health record (EHR), allowing providers to focus on patient care.

Key responsibilities

• Document provider‑patient interactions in real time, capturing histories, exam findings, assessments, and treatment plans.
• Structure notes using standard formats such as SOAP, HPI, ROS, and A&P.
• Enter and update clinical data, including medications, allergies, and past medical history.
• Attach supporting records (labs, referrals, external documents) and preload charts with relevant summaries.
• Transcribe provider dictation, enter orders for labs, imaging, referrals, and prescriptions for final sign‑off.
• Assist with inbox tasks, flag incomplete items, and ensure timely chart completion.

Required profile

• Strong understanding of medical terminology and clinical documentation structure.
• Ability to document accurately and quickly in real time.
• Familiarity with HIPAA and data confidentiality standards.
• Highly attentive, detail‑oriented, and adaptable to provider preferences.
