Accountant – Agriculture Export Operations

About the role

The Accountant – Agriculture Export Operations will support Grj Agriculture and Livestock’s finance function in Karachi. The role focuses on managing daily accounting, cash flow, and export‑related financial documentation for agricultural products.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain daily accounting records, cash book and perform bank reconciliations.
• Record and monitor cash flows related to agricultural operations and export activities.
• Manage inventory records of Rhodes grass, bale stock and warehouse movements.
• Prepare sales, purchase, payment and receipt vouchers.
• Handle accounts receivable and accounts payable.
• Process export invoices, packing lists and commercial documentation.
• Coordinate with operations on container dispatches and export shipments.
• Maintain records of export expenses, freight, transportation and logistics costs.
• Assist in preparing monthly financial reports, profit & loss statements and management reports.
• Ensure tax compliance and proper filing of financial documents.
• Coordinate with banks on export proceeds, letters of credit and remittances.
• Perform other accounting and administrative duties as assigned.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, B.Com or equivalent.
• 1–3 years of accounting experience, preferably in agriculture or export sectors.
• Strong analytical, organizational and problem‑solving abilities.
• Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Experience with accounting software.
