Accountant II

About the role

We are looking for an Accountant II to manage the day‑to‑day accounting and financial administration for our Pakistan office. Reporting to the Senior Manager, Accounting, you will be the primary point of contact for vendor payments, office procurement and audit support.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain the general ledger, journal entries, accounts payable and month‑end/year‑end close for the Pakistan entity.
• Process vendor invoices, staff expense claims, run payments, manage petty cash and perform bank reconciliations.
• Prepare monthly reporting packs, cost forecasts and cash requirement analyses.
• Compile data for external tax consultants and coordinate withholding and sales tax filings.
• Procure office equipment, furniture and supplies, negotiate quotes and verify receipts.
• Maintain the fixed‑asset register, depreciation schedules and conduct periodic physical verification.
• Act as the day‑to‑day liaison with external auditors, preparing audit schedules and responding to queries.
• Ensure statutory compliance with SECP, FBR, EOBI and other regulatory requirements.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or Commerce; part‑qualified ACCA/CA/ICMA is a plus.
• 2–4 years of accounting experience, preferably with office administration exposure.
• Working knowledge of Pakistani withholding and sales tax and familiarity with Companies Act 2017 and SECP filings.
• Fluent in English and Urdu, organized and detail‑oriented.

Required skills

• Strong Microsoft Excel skills.
• Experience with an accounting software system.
