Accountant

About the role

Kanzah Fashion, an apparel and wholesale business based in Karachi, is looking for a dedicated Accountant to oversee financial operations that support production, procurement, inventory costing, payroll, and reporting.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain day‑to‑day accounting records, including journals, ledgers, reconciliations and month‑end close.
• Prepare and analyse monthly financial statements, cost of goods sold, inventory valuations and variance reports.
• Process supplier invoices, vendor payments and manage accounts‑payable aging.
• Handle accounts receivable, issue invoices, follow up collections and reconcile customer accounts.
• Run payroll, calculate statutory deductions and keep payroll records compliant with local regulations.
• Support budgeting, cash‑flow forecasting and provide financial insights to management.
• Identify and implement process improvements to strengthen internal controls and streamline workflows.

Required profile

• Strong bookkeeping experience covering journal entries, reconciliations, month‑end close and general ledger management.
• Proficiency with accounting software such as QuickBooks, BUSY or SAP Business One.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including pivot tables, VLOOKUP and complex formulas.
• Ability to prepare financial statements, cash‑flow forecasts and management reports.
• Attention to detail, analytical mindset and numerical accuracy.
