Accountant

About the role

Target Pet Feeds is looking for a diligent Accountant to join its Karachi facility. The role focuses on accurate financial reporting, day‑to‑day bookkeeping and supporting the finance team in a manufacturing environment.

Key responsibilities

• Record daily financial transactions such as purchases, sales, receipts and payments.
• Prepare bank, supplier, customer and general‑ledger reconciliations.
• Support accounts payable and receivable processes, including invoice verification and payment documentation.
• Assist with month‑end closing, management reporting and expense monitoring.
• Maintain organized accounting records for audits, tax filings and internal reviews.
• Collaborate with procurement, production, warehouse and admin teams to verify financial data.
• Identify discrepancies, follow up on outstanding items and suggest improvements to accounting controls.

Required profile

• Strong understanding of bookkeeping, double‑entry accounting and ledger management.
• Attention to detail and ability to meet recurring reporting deadlines.
• Good analytical, organizational and communication skills.
• Experience in a manufacturing or production setting is advantageous.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including formulas, sorting, filtering and basic financial analysis.
• Familiarity with accounting software or ERP systems and quick learning ability.
