Accountant – Logistics & Freight

About the role

Nexus Aviation, a logistics and supply chain company based in Sialkot, is looking for an experienced Accountant to manage financial operations across air and ground freight, export documentation, cargo handling, consolidation and inventory activities. The role reports directly to the proprietor and collaborates with operations, sales and warehouse teams.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain day‑to‑day accounting, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, vendor and customer invoicing, bank reconciliations and petty‑cash management.
• Prepare monthly management accounts, profit & loss statements, balance sheets and provide variance analysis and cash‑flow updates.
• Ensure timely filing of Sales Tax/GST and Income Tax returns and prepare supporting schedules for audits.
• Generate customer invoices for freight and logistics services, follow up on receivables and resolve billing discrepancies with operations.
• Monitor transport and logistics costs and assist with cost‑analysis activities.
• Perform month‑end close tasks, journal entries and inventory reconciliations.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years of relevant accounting experience, preferably in logistics, freight forwarding or a small‑to‑medium enterprise.
• Full‑cycle bookkeeping, bank reconciliations, AR/AP management, journal entries, month‑end close and financial statement preparation.
• Strong knowledge of Pakistan Sales Tax/GST and Income Tax regulations.
• Proficiency with accounting software such as QuickBooks, Tally or SAP Business One.
• Advanced Excel skills including pivots, formulas and cash‑flow modelling.
