Accountant - Real Estate

About the role

Goldfinch, a real estate company based in Lahore, is looking for an experienced Accountant to manage the accounts and financial records of its business. The role covers property transactions, client collections, dealer commissions, banking, expenses and management reporting.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain accurate accounts for property sales, purchases, bookings and transfers.
• Manage client, dealer, supplier and property ledgers, and record booking amounts, advances, instalments, refunds and final settlements.
• Track receivables and payment commitments, prepare outstanding balance reports and coordinate collection follow-ups with the sales team.
• Reconcile bank accounts, cash balances and client ledgers regularly.
• Account for property exchange and barter transactions, including valuations and cash adjustments approved by management.
• Calculate sales and dealer commissions according to approved agreements.
• Verify receipts, payment vouchers and supporting documents before recording transactions.
• Process payroll, reimbursements and routine office expenses.
• Prepare monthly financial statements, cash flow reports and transaction-wise profitability summaries.
• Coordinate with tax consultants and maintain records needed for tax filings and audits.
• Maintain complete, confidential and accessible financial documentation.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or Commerce; ACCA, CA or CMA part-qualified candidates are also encouraged to apply.
• Minimum 2-3 years of accounting experience, preferably with a real estate company.
• Practical experience in bank reconciliation, receivables, payables and financial reporting.
• Understanding of property transaction documentation and relevant tax processes.

Required skills

• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software.
