Accounts Officer

About the role

Bio Sphere Marketing (BSM) is a Pakistan‑based importer, distributor, and healthcare solutions provider specializing in in‑vitro diagnostics, clinical laboratory analyzers, reagents and laboratory consumables. We are seeking an Accounts Officer to support accurate financial operations at our Lahore office.

Key responsibilities

• Record daily financial transactions, invoices, receipts, payments and journal entries.
• Maintain accounts payable and receivable records, including vendor and customer reconciliations.
• Prepare bank, cash, ledger and sub‑ledger reconciliations and investigate discrepancies.
• Support monthly closing activities, expense tracking and management reports.
• Verify supporting documents for purchases, sales, inventory movements and reimbursements.
• Assist with tax documentation, audit schedules and compliance‑related record keeping.
• Coordinate with internal teams and external vendors to resolve accounting queries.
• Maintain confidential financial files and contribute to process improvements.

Required profile

• Strong understanding of bookkeeping, double‑entry accounting, ledgers, reconciliations and financial controls.
• Hands‑on ability to process invoices, receipts, payments, expense claims and supporting documentation.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including formulas, sorting, filtering and structured financial schedules.
• Experience with accounting software or ERP systems and accurate data entry.
• Ability to prepare routine financial reports and identify inconsistencies or unusual transactions.
• Good knowledge of accounts payable, accounts receivable, bank reconciliation and basic tax records.
