Accounts Receivable Officer – Invoicing & Collections

About the role

The Receivable Officer will be responsible for the day‑to‑day accounts receivable and invoicing function of a UAE‑based logistics and transportation business. The role ensures invoices are raised accurately and on time, receivables are recorded and reconciled, and collections are followed up in coordination with commercial and operations teams.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and raise customer invoices based on contracts, service orders, delivery records, timesheets or trip sheets, ensuring accuracy and timely issuance.
• Record invoices and receipts in the ERP system, maintain customer accounts, and allocate transactions correctly.
• Monitor outstanding balances, produce ageing reports, and reconcile customer balances regularly.
• Follow up overdue invoices, coordinate collection activities and escalate disputed balances to senior finance management.
• Communicate with customers regarding payment status, maintain a collection tracker and provide cash‑flow forecasts.
• Ensure invoices comply with UAE VAT requirements and maintain proper audit trails for month‑end closing.

Required profile

• 2–4 years of experience in accounts receivable, invoicing or finance operations.
• Strong understanding of invoicing and collection processes and experience with ERP/accounting systems.
• Proficient in Excel for reconciliation and reporting.
• Excellent attention to detail, numerical accuracy and communication skills.
• Experience in logistics, transportation or fleet management is an advantage.
• Exposure to UAE accounting/VAT regulations is a plus.
