Admissions Officer - Overseas Education Consultancy

About the role

Ocean1 Private Limited is an overseas education advisory company and one of the most trusted international education consultants in Pakistan. It matches students with suitable universities and colleges across the USA, Canada, Germany, New Zealand, Australia, Poland, Portugal, the UK, Turkey, Malaysia, China and others. The Admissions Officer is a full-time, on-site position based in Karachi, advising prospective students on international study options, entry requirements, application procedures and timelines.

Key responsibilities

• Handle inquiries by phone, email and in person
• Assess student profiles and prepare and review application documents
• Coordinate with overseas institutions on admissions decisions
• Maintain accurate records in internal systems and follow up with students through admission and visa processes
• Support information sessions, events and outreach activities
• Collaborate with colleagues to deliver quality customer service and follow company policies and partner institution guidelines

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Education, Counseling, Business, Social Sciences or a related field
• Experience or knowledge of international admissions and overseas education processes
• Background in education, counseling or advisory services related to academic pathways
• Ability to work on-site in Karachi, manage several cases at once and meet deadlines
• Prior experience in an education consultancy or university admissions office is preferred

Required skills

• Clear spoken and written English; local language proficiency is an advantage
• Customer service skills focused on responsiveness, empathy and problem-solving
• Basic proficiency with office software and CRM or student management systems
