Advocacy & Communication Officer

About the role

The Advocacy & Communication Officer will lead the creation and design of all communication, promotional and visibility materials for the Forum for Women Development and Research. The role combines research, writing, editing and support for program implementation to advance public‑health advocacy initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and design leaflets, brochures, policy briefs and other promotional materials.
• Research public‑health topics, prepare briefs, papers or reports and share findings.
• Prepare program and project documentation, write‑ups and ensure professional editing and proofreading.
• Represent the Forum in advocacy working groups, meetings, workshops and trainings, and circulate key updates.
• Create interactive presentations to showcase organisational activities.
• Assist in planning, coordinating, monitoring and reporting of program/project activities.
• Support management on operational matters and participate in internal and external meetings.
• Undertake any other tasks assigned by management.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in a relevant field from a recognised university.
• 2‑3 years of experience in a similar communications or advocacy role.
• Exceptional writing and strong English communication skills.
• Proficiency with MS Office and a solid computer literacy.
• Energetic, team‑oriented, eager to learn and demonstrate strong work ethics.
