API Plant Inspector

Key responsibilities

• Perform inspection of pressure vessels, process piping and aboveground storage tanks in accordance with API 510, API 570 and API 653 standards.
• Conduct in‑service, periodic, shutdown and turnaround inspections as assigned.
• Review drawings, equipment data, inspection history and specifications before field work.
• Identify, document and assess corrosion, erosion, cracking, leakage and other damage mechanisms.
• Carry out visual inspections, thickness measurements and supervise NDT activities.
• Prepare accurate inspection reports with recommendations for repair, replacement or further assessment.
• Communicate findings to clients and coordinate with engineering and operations teams.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Metallurgy, Materials Engineering or a related technical discipline.
• API 510 Pressure Vessel Inspector, API 570 Piping Inspector and API 653 Aboveground Storage Tank Inspector certifications.
• Relevant experience inspecting pressure vessels, process piping and/or aboveground storage tanks in oil & gas, petrochemical, chemical, power or industrial plants.
• Experience with in‑service, shutdown/turnaround inspections, NDT coordination and technical report preparation.
