Arabic-English Translator / Interpreter

About the role

We are seeking a professional Arabic‑English Translator/Interpreter to provide accurate oral interpretation and written translation for a variety of contexts, including medical interviews, educational sessions, lectures, meetings and official documents. The role supports the continuity of the IMC project by ensuring clear communication between all parties.

Key responsibilities

• Translate documents (government letters, reports, technical and official papers) between Arabic and English upon request.
• Interpret live discussions, medical interviews, training sessions, lectures and meetings, maintaining neutrality and accuracy.
• Respect confidentiality and neutrality, declaring any conflict of interest.
• Collaborate with legal advisors, government authorities and project staff to ensure mutual understanding.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by the project coordination team.

Required profile

• University degree in translation, linguistics or a related field.
• Proven experience as a professional interpreter/translator.
• Fluent in spoken and written Arabic and English.
• Experience with international organizations or NGOs is desirable.
• Ability to handle medical terminology and formal document writing.
